The bi-annual nordic conference related to avalanche safety to be held in Gol, Norway from the 5th to the 7th of November 2021.
We are happy to announce this call for papers and wish to hear from professionals, practicitioners, students and affiliates working with avalanche security.
The deadline for sending in papers has now passed - all contributors will recieve notification of acceptance before october 1st.
Conference attendees are not required to present. If you are presenting, we will in most cases not be able to cover your participation fee.
About skredkonferansen
The purpose of skredkonferansen is to bring together professionals, practitioners, students and affiliates working with avalanche safety, be it in outdoor activities or infrastructure. We welcome contributions on avalanche safety from all interested parties.
Our goal is to get together and share our knowledge across our diverse group of people and make snow science accessible and relevant to all! We know there is a lot of exciting perspectives and knowledge to be gained, and that our shared efforts should attempt to reach out to those who would benefit from knowing more about avalanche safety.
We wish to have a broad theme this year and welcome papers on all avalanche-related topics. All content in the programme is decided by the programme comittée.

Tickets can be purchased here. Please note there is a seperate ticket for the three-course dinner with entertainment on Saturday night.
You can get to Gol by train, bus or privately by car.
Procedure
Please send a proposal for your contribution as an abstract in a word document or PDF. Please summarize your presentation in maximum 700 words (more or less 1 sheet of A4 paper).

Language
We allow participants to present in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and English.
Abstracts can be written and submitted in either of these languages.
